I once saw a red-tailed Phascogale by chance foraging in a bin at Wave Rock - gone by the time I got my camera :(.

Brian Chambers blog shows that he he has been trapping quite a few down Mandurah way http://bcwildliferesearch.com/2011/08/10/phascogale-what-on-earth-is-that/ but unfortunately he is leaving UWA now http://bcwildliferesearch.com/2015/12/22/the-time-has-come-to-move-on/

I am keen to find chuditch as well & Sean Van Alphen has a personal project this year to try and find Numbats in the Perth Hills - he is hoping that some may have escaped feral predators & habitat loss but missed detection.. I predict these animals could follow the path of Quenda: 20 years ago we hardly saw them and now they are the most common native mammal in Perth suburbs. Fingers crossed we all have Wambengers in our rooves soon!Simon Cherrimanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07599145592897082199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5537326282864733476.post-61454059660223107132016-03-08T15:02:22.556+08:002016-03-08T15:02:22.556+08:00Awesome to hear about the sighting - I would love ...Awesome to hear about the sighting - I would love to try and see them in Mundaring as well! Great to see they are still hanging on closer to Perth than we realise! I am going to try and spotlight them over Easter at Paganoni Lake where I heard reports they have been trapped and also a dead one found a month or two back...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04412466495645802878noreply@blogger.com
